Configure the PROFINET Connection
Before You Begin
Configure the Communicator, refer to Communicator Configuration.
Download the PROFINET GSDML file from the Communicator built-in web interface, refer to Export Product GSDML File.
Procedure
To configure the PROFINET connection:
Import the PROFINET GSDML file into your PLC configuration tool.
Select the input module and output module.
Ensure that the I/O data sizes match the I/O data sizes configured on the Communicator built-in web interface PROFINET page, refer to To Use Automatic I/O Sizes and To Configure I/O Sizes Manually.
